What is Carbon Storage?
Carbon Storage is the storage of removed or captured carbon dioxide in geological reservoirs such as depleted oil & gas fields.
Carbon Storage is a pivotal technique aimed at mitigating the adverse impacts of greenhouse gas emissions on our environment. This process involves the controlled capture and subsequent injection of carbon dioxide (CO2) into underground reservoirs, such as former oil and gas fields or deep saline aquifers. By securely containing CO2 underground, carbon storage prevents its release into the atmosphere, where it would contribute to global warming and climate change. This innovative solution plays a crucial role in curbing carbon emissions, fostering sustainable energy practices, and fostering a cleaner and more sustainable future for generations to come.
