N. Rigas Emphasized the importance of showcasing successful examples in the carbon storage industry

Ahead of the Carbon Capture Europe Summit 2025, our Head of Carbon Storage, Nikolas Rigas, joined a panel to discuss Europe's most important #carbonstorage projects and the broader policy and investment dynamic.

He emphasised the importance of showcasing successful examples in the carbon storage industry, noting that visible progress worldwide helps build public and industry acceptance for this decarbonisation solution.

Enearth's core narrative is simple: the Mediterranean has substantial CO2 emissions from industrial hubs in countries like Italy, Greece, Spain, and France - but limited storage capacity. EnEarth and Prinos CO2 provide a partial solution.

For Greece and the broader region, the Prinos CO2 storage project stands as the only viable option before 2030, carbon storage will be vital to protect domestic and regional industrial capacity and maintain socioeconomic levels.

With a storage permit expected soon and a Final Investment Decision (FID) targeted for Q1 2026, aligning with the timelines of the emitters’ project, it's an exciting time for EnEarth, Prinos CO2 and the broader #CCUS value chain.
