Proud to see our flagship Prinos CO2 project to be included again in the Projects of Common Interest/ Projects of Mutual Interest (PCI-PMI) list of the European Union.
Prinos CO2 has been included in the 2nd PCI/PMI list jointly with DESFA’s Apollo CO2 in the priority thematic area “Cross-border carbon dioxide network” along with another 16 projects within the entire CCS chain.
Having recently been awarded an environmental permit -first project of its kind in the Mediterranean and only of the few in Europe that have reached this achievement - we are now looking forward to getting the storage permit, and to a new legislation that will encourage investments and secure the development of the CCS chain in Greece.
The PCI and PMI list will be submitted to the European Parliament and the Council in the form of a Delegated Act for scrutiny, as mandated under the TEN-E Regulation. It is expected to be approved by February 2026.
